What payment methods do you accept?
The sole payment method I accept is Direct Debit via GoCardless, a safe, secure and convenient process.
What is GoCardless?
Created in 2011, GoCardless is an online Direct Debit specialist. They are a multinational company who provide businesses of all sizes a means of taking payment that is both secure and convenient. If you’d like to know more about GoCardless then visit their website at GoCardless.com
Will I be charged automatically every payment cycle?
No. You will only be charged after any cleaning has been done. In other words, If a clean has not been done then you will not be charged.
What if I am incorrectly charged?
In the unlikely event an error occurs you will be protected by The Direct Debit Guarantee. This means you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society. Find out more about the Direct Debit Guarantee HERE.
Will I be notified before a payment is taken?
Yes. You will be notified 3 working days before there are any new payments, subscriptions or changes to subscriptions.
What do I need to do to begin paying you via GoCardless?
Once you follow my GoCardless link by clicking or tapping on the button at the top of this page, you’ll be directed to a secure checkout page on the GoCardless website. It only takes a minute to fill in your details and that’s, you’re all setup.
What information of mine is made available to you?
I do not see any of your important bank details, just the last 2 digits of your account number, your name, home address and email address. You can see the information I see in the attached image. I’ve used myself as an example. That’s it, it only takes a few minutes. GoCardless have a handy guide ‘What is Direct Debit? Can't I just pay with cash?
I do not accept cash payments for several reasons. The main reason is due to the potential security risk. I would not be comfortable walking the street carrying my income in my pocket. Generally, I follow the same pattern of work each week, so my movements are somewhat predictable. To a potential mugger this is an ideal scenario.
There is also the convenience that GoCardless offers my customers. After the initial setup, which only takes a few minutes, there is minimal input from them. They don’t need to remember to have cash on them each time I clean, or manually setup a bank transfer each month.
